Ysbyty Ystrad FM
Rwyf wedi bod y ffodus iawn cydweithio â thîm YYFM ers y cychwyn cyntaf, yn creu cyfweliadau Cymraeg ar gyfer y rhaglen, ac rwyf bellach yn rheolwraig cynnwys i’r orsaf radio. Mae’n anrhydedd gweithio ar y prosiect, ac mae pob dydd yn bleser.
Yn ystod fy amser gyda YYFM, rwyf wedi cyfweld â rhai o sêr Cymru, cynorwytho eraill wrth iddyn nhw greu cyfresi yn ogystal â chynhyrchu cyfres dysgu Cymraeg fy hun!
I’ve been very fortunate to work with the YYFM team since the very beginning, creating Welsh language interviews for the programme, and now operating as content manager for the radio station. It’s an honour to work on the project, and every day is a pleasure.
During my time with YYFM, I have interviewed some of Wales’ stars, helped others as they created their series, as well as producing my very own Speaking Welsh series!

Radio Beca
Cyn i mi adael yr ysgol, doeddwn i ddim yn gwybod pa lwybr i ddilyn. Dyna bryd ddes i ar draws Radio Beca, cwmni radio lleol i’m hardal yn Sir Benfro.
Treuliais chwe mis yn ystod 2018 yn gweithio gyda Radio Beca, Mae’n ymwneud â phwysigrwydd lleisio pryderon a barn, a lledaenu’r negeseuon hynny ymhellach.
Gwnes i gyfweld â llawer o bobl hŷn yr ardal am eu profiadau o’r ail ryfel byd, a’u llunio i greu rhaglen addysgiadol. Dyma le sylweddolais mai newyddiaduraeth oedd y llwybr gorau i mi. Roeddwn yn dda am siarad gyda phobl newydd, gwneud iddyn nhw deimlo’n gyfforddus a datblygu fy sgiliau golygu. Roedd hi’n agoriad llygad aruthrol i mi. Gwnaeth y profiad yma’n sicr dylanwadu fy mhenderfyniadau academaidd, a dyma pam rwyf yma nawr!
Before I left school, I didn’t know which path to take. That’s when I came across Radio Beca, a local radio station in my area of Pembrokeshire.
I spent six months during 2018 working with Radio Beca, revolving around the importance of voicing worries and opinions, and spreading those messages further.
I interviewed many older people in the local area surrounding their experiences of the second world war, and planned to create an educational programme. I realised I had the ability to make those I interviewed feel comfortable and calm, ensuring I got the best out of them, as well as developing my editing skills. It was a huge eye-opener. The experience sealed that the broadcast and interview industry was for me, which is why I am where I am today!

“Gwnaeth Alaw hi mor haws i siarad, roedd hi fel dal lan a chael dished o dê gyda hen ffrind. Wen i’n teimlo mor gartrefol, a gath hi’r gorau posib allan ohonai.”
“Alaw made it so much easier to talk, it was as if I was catching up and having a cuppa with an old friend. I felt at home, and she got the absolute best out of me.”
